How Are We to Finance Our Needs?
They must be met by our own contributions. We may not accept donations from non-members. Our groups are urged not to hoard large sums of money, but to keep only a small reserve above running expenses. We are not profit-making, and money is not our goal.
As long as we pay our own way from our own pockets, we will have public respect, and our own. We will be free.
Each group has expenses - the on-line meeting rooms, books and literature, and the intergroup website and other fees, as well as contributions to the World Service Office.

How Much and How Often Should We Contribute?
Currently, world service recommends that we give what we can afford to give, noting that many individuals contribute up to $2.00 per meeting. Trusted servants of our Intergroup recommend that members make quarterly or yearly (versus daily, weekly or even monthly) contributions. They also recommend that members save until they can make a contribution of a minimum of $20.00 rather than send in smaller sums more frequently. This minimizes the number of deposits we make, which keeps the intergroup costs lower. Our goal is not to bring in large sums of money, but to be able to use our collective contributions to further our goal for expanding and serving the members of our organization.
Please note, checks deposited from outside of Canada may be held for up to 4 weeks while being processed. When you mail your donation, please include a note with your email address in case the treasurer needs to contact you.
