Rainbow 12 Step 4 COEs is a 12-step email sharing loop for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender COEs who want to recover from compulsive eating or from any kind of eating disorder. Here we will find others who understand what we are going through. Although we are a group for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender COEs, in the spirit of Tradition 3 we welcome everyone seeking recovery from compulsive eating. In confidentiality we can share our experience, strength, and hope, and help each other overcome our eating problems. We can do together what we can't do alone! Come join us and see for yourself! We are fellow sufferers in a self-help loop, not mental health or medical professionals. Members are responsible for their own recovery and mental health. Messages represent individual members, not OA or 12step4coes.
Our email loop has some basic guidelines that all members must follow. Please, read the following guidelines and be sure to follow them when you begin to share on our loop:
Guideline 1: This loop is EXTREMELY CONFIDENTIAL. Messages can only be read as private email and must be treated confidentially by all members. No messages will be posted on the website. Anonymous email addresses may be used.
Guideline 2: We share our experience, strength, and hope with fellow COEs. Our aim is to build recovery with positive messages of encouragement. Both problems and their solutions may be shared, but always use courtesy and respect.
Guideline 3: Ours is a spiritual program, but each member interprets spirituality in his own way. Therefore, we use only the spiritual terms God, God of my Understanding, or Higher Power.
